I have had three of my children attend CCYL for the past 9 years. What we originally intended to be a “preschool experience” for my son has now become a game changer for our family! I had never been a “private school” advocate. In fact I can honestly say I was against it. The local public school district is the reason why we moved from San Diego to Yorba Linda when our oldest was of school age. It wasn’t quite a month after enrolling our son into the preschool that I realized just how special this school was. Although I was apprehensive, I enrolled my 4th grade daughter as well. I was concerned about the level of the academics and the small size of the school. Looking back, I can honestly say it was the best decision we made on her behalf. There were 12 children in her class and she excelled both academically and spiritually under the professional staff. Her relationship with God took root on this special campus. My daughter just graduated from High School and not only did she perform in the top 10 percent of her class, she has a love for the Lord that is very real and personal. My two boys are now in the Academy and we continue to be blessed by an amazing school experience. Dropping my children off at the campus feels like I’m dropping them off at a family member’s home. I literally NEVER worry about their emotional and physical well being. The teachers, the administration, and the pastors who have touched my children’s lives on a daily basis have been hand selected based on their ability to educate and show God’s love at the same time.
I thank God daily for the blessing this school has been in our lives. ~Dana McElroy

The time that my children spent at Calvary Chapel was amazing. They learned so much, and learned to give as well. The community and family at the academy has been a tremendous support through many trials in our life. I am so grateful that God led us to this school. In total, we experienced ten years there and if I could go back in time, I would not want to change a minute of it.
I feel that the experience at Calvary Chapel has given my children many things which have prepared them for going to high school and beyond like; Character development, strong belief and knowledge of the Bible, a Foundation for life, they can defend their faith, Excellent study skills, Great education; consistently performed very high in state testing, Friends so strong they are considered more like family. I appreciate all that the teachers and staff have done to develop my children into who they are today. I am amazed by the dedication each staff member brings to the school, constantly striving to make it better. This is a family environment where learning, developing, and sharing Christ’s love goes hand in hand. I will certainly miss being able to go there every day. I will continue to keep in prayer the ministry, teachers, staff and families of Calvary Chapel Yorba Linda. ~Mary Spindler
